Megan Terry

Meet Our New Peer Advisor, Megan!

Hello everyone! My name is Megan Terry and I am a second-year Global Disease Biology major.

Growing up, I always had a deep interest and curiosity about the visible and invisible components about the world around me. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit my school during my freshman year of high school, my interest in science narrowed in on infectious disease. I wanted to understand the interworkings of infectious disease, the process of pandemics, and how we as a society can use this experience to improve our preparedness and response in the future.

Getting the opportunity to be a part of the Global Disease Biology program is something I will be forever grateful for. My favorite thing about gdb is how you can really shape your experience to what you are most passionate about, whether that be humans, animals, the environment, or their interactions. I have so much more to learn with my three years left and Davis and I can’t wait to see what the future holds! I really look forward to getting to serve as a peer advisor and work more closely with the wonderful GDB community.
