Hi, everyone! My name is Alexzandrya Smith, and I am a transfer third year global disease biology major. During my finally year at community college, I took an infectious disease course that really caught my attention and I wanted to learn more about it. Finding the GDB major really started to open my mind more to these ideas, and the classes I have taken fed my interest when it comes to disease. I am still trying to figure myself out and to map my way through what I want to do with my major post graduation, but I know that my GDB major will help me whether I decide to do Doctors Without Borders or a doctor within the states or other countries. Overall, it allows me to be well-rounded and opens many doors for me.
