My name is Maddie Hunt and I am a fourth year GDB Major, graduating spring quarter. I am from a small farming town in the Central Valley named Tulare, where we have more cows than people. Here at UC Davis I am involved in the agricultural sorority on campus, Sigma Alpha. 

Thanks to the GDB major, I have been able to turn my interest in disease into a future career path! I switched into the major two years ago and have never looked back! The GDB major provides such a unique opportunity to not only learn about disease, but to cater your education to your specific interests, which I Iove. After graduation, I plan to enter the healthcare field. Additionally, I am looking into nursing school where I would special in either infection control or labor & delivery. Having the flexibility in the GDB major has allowed me to take my prerequisites for nursing school while also allowing me to dive deeper into my true passion of infectious disease!
